The Full Story
The case of Activision/Blizard is highly regarded as one of the most well-known modern cases of “frat bro” (also known as bro culture) culture to date. It started when the state of California’s Department of Fair Employment Housing (DFEH) filed a workplace discrimination and harassment lawsuit against the gaming giant. The DFEH had been conducting an internal investigation into the gaming company's internal culture. There had been many reports of male employees harassing female coworkers in a variety of ways. Drinking was also found to be fairly popular within the company, with management being in on a lot of the internal issues and at times encouraging the behavior. One report even cited that a female employee committed suicide during a business trip after experiencing heavy sexual harassment from male co-workers.
